We are sorry but due to the way we have limited stock of lockers for rent and because we rely on pre-booking of lockers to determine our locker provision to each school we are unable to provide refunds in this instance. Our Terms & Conditions of locker rental do make it clear before you booked your rental that you must not do so until your place was confirmed.

If you have extenuating circumstances such as your place being retracted after it was confirmed then please email all details so we can consider an exception for you.

We allocate lockers in locations determined by your school – for example in some schools there are lockers in different banks in various locations around the school. You selected the bank location for your locker before you purchased it and we allocated you a locker in that bank.

If you wish to change your locker to a different bank location – for example if your form room is nearer a different bank location – please send an email to hello@keepsafelockers.com – the email MUST be sent from the email address that was registered when you purchased the locker rental. Please provide:

  1. Your school name
  2. Your locker bank location
  3. Your locker number (number on the door of your locker, not the access code)
  4. The locker bank location you would like to move to
  5. The reason you wish to move locker location 

We will then contact you by email to either confirm the move and to provide your new locker location, number and access code, or we will explain why we cannot move your locker – perhaps the location you request is already 100% booked.

All rentals are for the entire school year. Your rental is from the start of the year (or the date you rented the locker if later) until the end of the next summer term.

We provide the quantity of lockers needed to accommodate bookings and we are unable to recoup our costs if we were obliged to refund rentals midway through a rental period. We commit to not withdrawing your locker during a rental period and in fairness you commit to renting it for the full rental period.

If you simply choose not to use your locker then no refund will be made. If you leave the school mid-way during the year as a result of moving home, or expulsion from the school or similar then no refund will be made. If you have extenuating circumstances – such as serious long-term illness resulting in your non-attendance at school then please send details to hello@keepsafelockers.com – the email MUST be sent from the email address that was registered when you purchased the locker rental. Please provide:

  1. Your school name
  2. Your locker bank location
  3. Your locker number (number on the door of your locker, not the access code)
  4. The reason for your request to cancel the locker rental

We will assess any such requests on a case-by-case basis but we must confirm the general rule is that no refund will be made.

Please email us at hello@keepsafelockers.com – the email MUST be sent from the email address that was registered when you purchased the locker rental. Please provide:

  1. Your school name
  2. Your locker bank location
  3. Your locker number (number on the door of your locker, not the access code)
  4. Details of the problem – e.g. lock does not function properly, door sticks, etc.
  5. Confirmation of whether anything is currently inside your locker or if it is empty
  6. Whether the battery warning light on your lock is flashing (or has recently been flashing)

If your locker is empty we will immediately provide you with a different locker – this will be in the same bank location if one is available or an alternative location if your location is full. We will then arrange to repair your locker and allocate it back to you once repaired unless you are happy to keep the replacement locker instead.

If you have contents in your locker that you cannot access we will provide you with an emergency access code. If that does not work then we will liaise with your school to arrange emergency access either by the school staff or by one of our engineers.

Availability of physical access to your locker is determined by your school. Please contact them if you need out of hours access.

A booking can be cancelled at any time without further obligation to either party, however Independent Locker Solutions ltd has a strict no refund policy therefore you will be due no financial recompense from ourselves or the associated School for early termination. Please review our terms & conditions for clarity.

Please do not book a locker if:

The student you are booking for is awaiting place allocation confirmation at a preferred school.

You are unsure whether the location/height is suitable for the student. (Please consult with the student before booking)
If rebooking the same locker for the following year please check it is required and is in a location suitable for use during that period.

If the student decides they would prefer a different location/height to one you have already booked the second booking is at your discretion and as such you will have to pay for both lockers. Please do not book a second locker and then ask Independent Locker Solutions ltd for a refund of either payment, it will not be forthcoming.

Please check with other parent/guardians that they have not already booked a locker for the student, Independent Locker Solutions ltd is not responsible/liable for a lack of communication between yourselves and will not refund either payment.

We are delighted you want to repeat your rental of a locker! But I am afraid we cannot guarantee that our system will allocate you the same locker next year. We therefore require you to empty your locker by the end of the summer term. During the summer holidays your locker access code will stop working and someone else will be allocated your locker with a different access code. If any items are found in your locker after the end of the summer term they will be removed by school staff and treated as lost property.

All locker users are required to empty their lockers by the end of the summer term. We are sorry if someone has not done that.

Please report this to a member of staff who will remove the items and will deal with them as lost property.

We are able to provide a new access code for your locker and stop the old code operating. As soon as you enter the new code, your old code will no longer provide access to your locker.

To obtain a new code, please email us at hello@keepsafelockers.com – the email MUST be sent from the email address that was registered when you purchased the locker rental. Please provide:

  1. Your school name
  2. Your locker bank location
  3. Your locker number (number on the door of your locker, not the access code)
  4. The reason why you require a new locker code.

We will not charge you for a reasonable number of access code changes, but if you make repeated requests then we may impose an administrative fee.

School staff do not have general access to your locker and cannot provide you with your access code. If you have an extreme emergency – such as leaving emergency medicine in your locker that you cannot access then school staff are able to contact us and we can provide them with an emergency access code.

In normal circumstances if you have forgotten your access code, please refer to the original email which allocated your locker code.

If you cannot find that email, please email us at hello@keepsafelockers.com – the email MUST be sent from the email address that was registered when you purchased the locker rental. Please provide:

  1. Your school name
  2. Your locker bank location
  3. Your locker number (number on the door of your locker, not the access code)

We will resend the locker access code email to the email address of the person who booked the locker originally.

Please report any damaged lockers to a member of school staff who will contact us to arrange a repair

Your hire period ends when your school summer holidays start. At the end of the summer term you must empty your locker of all your personal belongings and throw away anything you don’t want to keep. Please leave the locker in the state you would wish to find it at the start of your next hire period.

You are responsible for keeping the inside of your locker clean. Please throw away into the school bins anything you don’t wish to keep. If you spill a liquid in your locker please dry the spillage with paper towels and tell a member of staff (teaching staff or support / FM staff)

School cleaning staff are responsible for cleaning the outside of your locker and the surrounding area and your are obliged not to purposely deface the locker inside or out.

The paint in the lockers is anti-microbial / anti-bacterial and resistant to bacteria and viruses including Covid-19

No. Lockers are designed to be used by one person and are generally not large enough for two people’s belongings. Providing access to others or the sharing of your access code to others is not permitted as it increases the risk of unauthorised access and theft of your property.

Yes. If you want more than one locker you are free to hire as many as you require. If you are a parent with more than one child at a school you can hire the number of lockers you require. Just add the lockers to your basket and pay for the quantity you need.
